Tai Chi and Qigong for Health

TAI CHI (pronounced “tie-jee”) is a gentle exercise with choreographed moves that flow together like a slow motion dance. When done in a precise order it helps facilitate energy flow, fitness, relaxation and mental concentration.

QIGONG (“chi kung”) is an ancient art form that integrates breathing techniques and physical movements to promote self healing. Everyone can benefit from the practice of qigong, regardless of ability, age, or physical condition.

March 2020 – we entered the COVID-19 era.

We have suspended our in-person training and services as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result of the orders placed on businesses. Our classes were put on hold, as social distancing restrictions were put in place.

Having methods to become or stay well is an important, if not ESSENTIAL practice! It is our essential business to help ourselves, and also those around us, if we are able.

Both qigong and tai chi are beneficial for the immune AND nervous systems. Now is the exact time in which to practice healing arts. You can practice in your home or yard! Wherever you are (at work or home), there is probably a stock room, deck, garage, closet or laundry room, most equipped with a door that you can close behind you. (Who goes into the laundry room, anyway??)

We as a global society have had the summons to change, and to reinvent things. There are many informative resources popping up, and creative people throughout the world, and it is inspiring to see the many inventions and ways in which we are supporting one another.

Until we can meet again, in person, in the classrooms, in the parks, keep up the practice. Download our 'practice tips' sheet (above).

To our former students:

An online practice invitation was emailed to all students in March 2020. If you are new to the web site, there are class sessions available through an online platform.

Remember, balance is a healing mechanism. Too much of any one thing can cause imbalance. The yin and yang of the universe is a guide to how to keep your body-mind in balance.
Be well, and keep yourself and others healthy.
